It's Official!
Well, school is officially out and I am able to make the announcement that I am moving to Collegiate next year. I was so unsure of this decision when I made it but couldn't be more excited now. The perks of working there (financially and for Cyrus) are enormous and I am just ready to get started:) I will be teaching 3 sections of Regular Bio I, 1 section of Forensics, and 1 section of Infectious Diseases - Bio II. This is going to be such a great move for me, I can just feel it!!!

BBQ
Elizabeth Simpson had a BBQ on Friday evening and it was a blast. Gardner and Stinson came by and it was great to see them as well. Elizabeth rents a cute little carriage house from this couple who own this gorgeous huge Fan home. Their home was incredible, the property, the house and the decor were just so cool. Ben and Emily seemed like a great couple and I hope that we'll see them again, I really enjoyed myself!!
This booty crack picture cracked me up:)
The early stages of the BBQ before everyone arrived.
Off we go:) New dress, love it.
Cy was entertaining himself while we were chatting. He's really good about playing by himself, I hope that continues as he grows up.

Backyard Fun
Creighton brought Georgie and Emma over to play on Saturday afternoon for a couple of hours so the kids could play and we could chat. We are feeling so blessed to have (rekindled for Brad) made this wonderful connection with Creighton and Alison. They are easily our best friends here in Richmond, we adore them and our children adore each other. It always makes me think of Jason and I and how our families were best friends which sparked our frienship which we still cherish today. I hope that Cy and Georgie/Emma can maintain this friendship through the years and have each other to rely on throughout life together.
George and Emma wanted to have a swim in Cy's new pool, jump on the trampoline, and play in the playhouse. They had a blast. I see a sleepover for these kiddos in the near future;)

Cy and George had totally matching outfits...not on purpose. Totally hilarious:)
Pool Party at Camp Hilbert
Cy and I headed out to Camp Hilbert today for the opening pool party. Camp Hilbert is the Weinstein Center's outdoor pool. It's in Goochland and a bit of a haul to get out there (about 25 minutes) but I can tell that Cy and I are going to make that trip a good bit this summer. So, we headed to 711 and grabbed a slurpee and some snacks before the trip. We had a blast today. Brad really needed to be there as the water was COLD. I played with Cy in the pool for about an hour and then I sat on the side while he played, burr!!
exhausted
Cy had a BIG weekend, and it shows. I thought it was awfully quite as I was cooking dinner tonight. When I came out of the kitchen, this is what I found:)
The Corazzini's
Seth and Alison had a house warming/end of the year bash at their house in Midlothian last night. Brad and I were running a little late and arrived at about 7:30. We didn't anticipate knowing anyone so we thought we would just swing by for a drink and call it good. The evening went much differently. They had delicious wine selection so I, of course, helped myself to way too much of that. And then, the jello shots came out. Yep, I was that girl. I believe I had about 5 jello shots and lots of wine. I probably should have eaten more, the party was catered and had delicious desserts but I was too busy chatting and sipping...all I can say is that I am PAYING for it today. I have not been hungover like this in YEARS! All in all though, that was one great party!

Opa!!
Richmond has had this fabulous Greek Festival annually for as long as anyone can remember, so I was very excited to check it out. I LOVE Greek food so how could we go wrong?! We went to the Anders and walked over, pulling the kids in the wagon. We met Casey and Creighton there and Christy met us at the house. The food was amazing and the music was really cool too. The kids had a blast playing Ring Around The Rosey and dancing to the music:)
