Nesting!
I am using the weekend to Ty to get organized for Tavs arrival. I pulled all Cy's old clothes out of the attic to sort through. There is very little that I am not going to use. We are not going pink crazy so I am going to use a lot if his blue and neutral items and supplement with some cute accent pieces like pink/yellow leg warmers and hair/head accessories. I am also trying to figure out her room, which is currently our office. We are going to leave the guest room intact downstairs and keep her upstairs with us. We don't really use the office anyway as we do most of our work in the kitchen. So, we will need to move all the furniture downstairs into the basement space so we can move her furniture in. Alison and Creighton are going to lend us their baby furniture since we brought nothing with us from CO. This is the last baby for he Cooke family so if I can avoid buying new stuff, I will...except for some new cute things especially for a little girl:)
Canvas Crazy
I have been a little canvas crazy, I just love the look of them. Much better than framed prints in my opinion. I needed to do something to our entry wall to spice it up a bit. We originally had two prints from a local artist in Steamboat there but they were jus too small for that space. So, I had a 20x30 canvas print made of the three of us. I liked it but it still wasn't right, so, I decided to use photos from our summer adventure to make a collage. It came out great. I did a 20x30 of cy and I and the four additional 8x12s. Now I am working on one for over our bed of Picts of Brad and I.
Baby Leg Warmers
I have a list of projects I am working on or making for Tag. The nesting has truly begun for the arrival of this sweet little but. Today's project was baby leg warmers. I am obsessed with baby girls in leg warmers and hair bands, it kills me! I searched for some on Etsy but the ones that I found were expensive or too girlie. So, I decided to make my own. I went to 5 Below and got 5 pairs of knee high socks in funky colors and went to work. They came out great, I also discovered that these will work great as arm warmers for me for early spring running;) Bonus! Tag and I are sharing clothing already ;)

An Explosion of Pink!
My Sister in Law, Sallie, brought us bags and bags of clothing that Hailey and Katie have outgrown. We are swimming in girlie stuff now!! I am having a great time going through and organizing it;) most of it is 3-5 so I am going to store it in the attic for a few years but it is SO nice to have an entire wardrobe up there! We are so lucky!

It's A Girl!!
Well, my suspicions were confirmed and it is official, Tag is a GIRL! I am thrilled!! I feel so blessed to be gifted with both a boy and a girl! I have been absent from the blog world since before we left for our summer adventure but I am going to try to get back in the groove.
This pregnancy has been totally different than Cy's. I was pretty sick for the first 13 weeks or so and have been beyond exhausted. I am currently 22 weeks and still exhausted. Last time was a bit different with my work schedule however. I wasn't teaching and didn't have to be to the store until 10. Now, I am up at 530am every day and on my feet and high energy all day. Plus, I have Cy. Whew:)
The weight gain has also been different. I have put on about 13 pounds so far, which is more than this point last time. We shall see where I end up in the next 3.5 months:)
Tag's First Shower
I have been going through this pregnancy with my regular Biology kids, week by week. We have all been very excited about finding out the gender so when it was confirmed that Tag is a girl my students decided to throw me a surprise baby shower. They are so cute! We had cupcakes and cookies and they got Tag some adorable bibs. It was so fun!!
Tag Along
Here is a post I wrote but didn't publish back in June when we found out that we were pregnant;)
