Project: House to Home....

The grandparents all came over for dinner:)
The Tiffany lamp that my grandfather made...it has over 1000 pieces of glass in it and the base is an antique 100+ years old. It's gorgeous.
 formal room fireplace
My grandfather and grandmother made this scene of the Everglades and I love it! It's the perfect addition to the large window in the formal room upstairs
Cy's room is coming together:) He loves it!! I found that great map of the US at this adorable little consignment shop. He loves to point out where we live, where he was born, where his grandparents live, where his cousins live, etc...
This couch is great, it "This End Up" and totally indestructible, but, I don't like the cushion covers so I plan to recover them.
He feels very cool having his own couch:) I still need a bookshelf for this room and have one in mind from Ikea that I am hoping to get in the next weekend or so. Ikea is a bit of a hike so we actually need to have a little free time to make this happen.
My mother found these beautiful curtains and rod and brought them up. It looks great. I wish I would have taken a picture of the existing window dressing when we moved in, holy cow was it awful!

The dining room, the natural decor in this picture looks a little overwhelming but in actuality it looks good. We have more pictures to hang in here and I'm debating getting rid of the wall paper, currently, it's very colonial and a bit stuffy.

Little man loves the new house;)
Looking more like a home everyday
I found this adorable outdoor chair at World Market and it was the perfect fit, love it.

The house is coming along, slowly but surely. We've replaced some of the light fixtures, got a great sectional couch for downstairs, a few new pieces of furniture for downstair and a couch for Cy's room (which I'm going to have to recover - I am not excited about the material) and a few other things. We have yet to get any pictures on the wall but when my dad was here last week he did put a few things up for us. We're getting there....
