So, I sold Clifford and went to the Subaru dealer in Steamboat and found my sweet little Dolores. I am the second owner. The first owner was a second home owner in Steamboat and only drove her when they came to town. She only had 60,000 miles when I bought her and had 133,000 when I sold her. We have 3 cars, that is really one too many and now that we are moving we're trying to minimize a bit before the move. There really was no reason to keep her as we both have really nice cars except that she was my car...for almost the entire time I lived in CO...she is CO, through and through. She is a '97 with a tape deck but in CO that is the norm. It's not about money and things and stuff and who's had a name brand whatever...it's about simplicity and holding on to things because they still function just fine, even if they aren't the newest, nicest, etc...I miss that about CO. I thought Naples was bad in this department but Richmond is just as bad. It's annoying and unnecessary and Dolores was my stand against society here....but, now she has gone to some sweet little 17 year old girl, Hannah, who will take good care of her I hope:) I was surprised how much money we got for her, I mean I would have paid it for sure but this family doesn't even know her yet! Cy was a bit broken up about it as Dolores is "mommy's car" and he was uncomfortable with other people driving it but we talked about it and I think it's fine;) Either way, it's another part of CO that is slipping away from me. Just proves that it's time to go back home and be with our people and our mountain!!!

Dolores...
I got Dolores in 2006 in Steamboat. I had this awesome Jeep Wrangler, Clifford, which I loved but once we bought our home out in Phippsburg we decided it wasn't safe for me to maneuver the canyon during the winter in a jeep like Clifford.
So, I sold Clifford and went to the Subaru dealer in Steamboat and found my sweet little Dolores. I am the second owner.
