After packing Tag's overnight bag for the hospital I started feeling a little anxious about my own bag, so I packed it up today. It's been so long that I had to look online to see what kinds of things I should bring with me to the hospital. I definitely don't want to bring too much stuff but knowing myself, after I have the baby, I am going to want to clean up and get cozy and cute…so I kept that in mind:) It is so hard to know what's going to fit. They say everything will be about the same size it was at 6 months so I'm going with that. I don't remember from last time but I do remember that I packed some of my normal clothes to wear home last time and could not get my belly into it. I didn't know how big my uterus would still be after, but I know this time:) So I'm bringing some cute maternity things that aren't too obviously maternity:)
I decided on:
- a going home outfit of tights and a flowy top with flats
- a pair of black yoga pants and two other comfy but cute tops, depending on what I'm feeling like
- a robe and my new cozy Ugg slippers that I got for Christmas
- something to sleep in
- flip flops
- undies and sports bras
- toiletries
- a boppy pillow
- snacks for me and for Brad (apparently, not all hospitals are as amazing as Steamboat and this is a requirement): plantain chips, fruit leather, Almond thins and Justin's almond butter, & a few bars
- a Tumbler for water
- electronic chargers
That should do it, I hope I'm not forgetting anything. So, now we hurry up and wait :) 7 weeks and counting….
