Drifty

Alison and I took the kids to see Drifty The Snowman today. This was Alison's third time going to the play and our first. We meant to go together last year but it just didn't happen. This was the 23rd consecutive running of this play and it was so good. It's definitely for kids so it's ok if they are not totally quiet during the production. I saw a student of mine there and asked her if this was her first time seeing Drifty and she told me she has been for the last 15 years in a row and it's a holiday tradition for her family. So cute. The play was about an hour long and included Drifty, Mrs. Claus, Santa, a cowboy, and an elf. It was great. After the production, we went to the restaurant below and had a slice of pizza for lunch. The playhouse is about 30 mins. away and the kids dozed off on the way home so Alison and I got to chat for a few minutes which never happens and was so nice. I just love her and those kiddos;) I'm hoping this will be a tradition for us over the years (as the dads have no interest in going to this show!).
